Youth Support Work

Youth work support provides one on one support to meet each young persons individual needs. The various programs which staff facilitate will enhance the young persons confidence, independence, values and beliefs to make a successful transition into adult hood.

Developing confident and competent young people by supporting with independent living. This can include shopping, attending appointments, court attendance, budgeting , other relevant appointments, housing, job networking, and support with applying for jobs. Also having a positive role model and participating in activities such as fishing, kicking the footy, getting out on country, and providing a safe place just to have a yarn.

We are committed to connecting our young people with role models who are culturally aware, having life experiences that enables them to form positive leadership roles with our youth. All Support Workers have a current blue card, First Aid and CPR training. We value the broad and impactful life experiences and grounding personalities of our workers, to build rapport and trust which provides our youth with guidance on their journey.

To engage in our services a responsible adult/CSO/support person can make a referral on behalf of the young person who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
